Turns out I’ve written in a lot of genres. But I have been getting super into celtic music the last few years (partly due to a pub in my neighborhood called Hartley’s that has live Irish music every Monday night and oh my god is it amazing) so I thought I’d try my hand at it. Fiddle player desperately needed on this track, but the melodies are there! I need to work on getting my single note picking rhythm tighter.

Had a freakin’ blast making this. Wish I had more time with it.

Featuring Mateus Falci (@Tengo) on the keys, and Spencer (@itsasinch) on Bodhran. Fun fact, Spence will be playing Bodhran on a big huge tour of Come From Away starting in a month!

In terms of something present in my life, this piece was written in response to a newfound reconnection to nature through my gal Zoya, who (along with her family) has lovingly welcomed me to hang out, like, all the time at their house in Upstate New York.

Looking for feedback on

Definitely nothing about the mix lol. Got any notes on the melodies or structure?

Great listen. Sounds incredible. Though you may not have spent a lot of time mixing, you must have it down pretty well because this sounds polished af. Are any of these software instruments? Super patient too. Can’t be rushed here, which feels very aligned with a slow morning walk upstate. Yeah it’s funny, I don’t feel qualified or capable or melody or structural comments, or maybe I just don’t think this needs any *elated shrug* Really awesome addition to your NCBC portfolio.
