faded af

Someone on IG posted something about ‘faded af’ being the same forwards and backwards so I kinda of based lyrics around this wonderful expression. Then I found this very 80s key sound I can’t stop using. >>Not 100% sure that my chorus melody on the keys is a palindrome :0

Burn my body up til i can’t feel at all
Run it through my veins, it all feels the same
As the days go by we’re repeating it all
I’m stuck inside intoxicated

The whole world’s burning down
It’s chaos in the city
But here inside these walls
I let all things go

I’ve been counting days
Even while im my mind is hazed
The line is not in sight
There hasn’t been sign
You go living in a world without a reason to be in it
You go places you forgot you always had

The whole world’s burning down
It’s chaos in the city
But here inside these walls
I let all things go

Looking for feedback on

Did I palindrome accurately?

You are a melody master with great pop sensibility. Again it gives me 2013 vibes — I think of Passion Pit.

The TONES! Yes, I’d use the heckin’ heck out of those sounds too! What a lush production. Thanks for this.

Hey! I don’t think we’ve met, but my name’s Sam. This is a great listen. For me, it has enough rhythm for the morning, and enough realism to be enjoyed through anxiety. I like the bass break at around 2:00

yeah I’m definitely into the 80s keys sounds,
also digging the paradoxical combination of the chill soothing vibe paired with the more melancholy lyrics. I love when the music is a metaphor for the subject matter

This is so dope! This will be my song for the week. Just has that perfect happy/sad balance I love in this style of music.

Love how cohesive your stuff is. Really nice on the ears. Not sure about the palindrome in the chorus—really nailed it in the title, though.

Production is off the chain here my dude. I don’t know if you palindromed correctly…I don’t even know if I palindromed correctly! Love the different production on the vocals in the different sections especially – hard to make that switch cohesive, but it works really well.

You are one hip lad. I get a weird mixture of feelings reading IG posts about people getting fucked up at home. Sometimes I think the jokes are funny… other times they just make me feel sad. This song managed to blend some of those disparate emotions into something cohesive. Makes me think – how do you create content that makes people feel connected by something underneath it all that isn’t base.

Great job Justin.
